This is a unique ceramic sculpture by Helen Mudie. The piece has been sculpted with not so much attention to the face as to the whole body and posture. The figure conveys the spirit of a person and gives you the impression that you have already met and known.
about the artist:
Helen Mudie is a half Scottish -half Greek sculptress who lives permanently in Aegina, a small island close to Athens. Helen is a figurative sculptress who expresses herself through the forms. She works mostly with clay but select pieces are cast in limited edition bronze.
